Department of Botany is one of the leading departments of the College which in ever involved in teaching-learning, Co-curriculara and extracurricular activities. Department is established in 1981 and offeres B.Sc. programme in Botany. We ever organise study tours and field visits for the students to study biodiversity. We look after the enhancement of campus beauty by planting ornamental, friut and medicinal plants in the College campus. We established 'Nature club' in the College which is always involved in the campus enrichment, plantation and environmental sustainance activities. Botany Department has well maintained herbarium which hosts more than 200 herbarium sheets preserved in the department. We have developed four special vana (gardens) in the College campus including Rashivan, Vrundavan, Nakshatra van and Saraswati van in the College. We planted many plants in these special vanas.
Vision: To aware and educate the society and youths for the conservation of natural resources and Biodiversity.
Mission: 1. To give education through research for the welfare of society.
2. To protect and conserve our valuable FLORA and FAUNA
Organised Study Tour At Kalsubai-Harchandragarh Wildlife Sanctury For The Observation Of Plant Diversity. Student Could Learn And Observe Many Wild Plants During The Study Tour.
Department Of Botany With The Help Of NCC Cadets Planted Trees In The College Campus.
Department Of Botany On Occasion Of World Conservation Day Organised Bird Photograph Exhibition For The College Students And Staff.
Unwanted Plants Grown In The Medicinal Plant Garden Were Uproated By The Students.
Artificial Ponds Are Prepared In The College Campus For The Cultivation Of Aquatic Plants.
